Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Toolbox does and does not collect. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past — please do read it.

The short version

Every tool on this site runs entirely inside your browser. Text you paste, files you drop in and numbers you type are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us. We have no server that could receive them, and no account system that could store them.

What we do not collect

• The content you enter into any tool.
• Files you select or drag in — these are read locally and never transmitted.
• Names, email addresses or passwords. There are no accounts.
• Anything you generate: passwords, UUIDs, QR codes and results stay on your device.

What is stored on your device

Some tools remember your preferences using your browser's local storage — the Pomodoro timer's durations, your time zone list, and your light or dark theme choice. This data never leaves your browser and is not readable by us. Clearing your site data removes it.

Advertising

This site is funded by display advertising. We use Google AdSense, and third-party vendors including Google use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Advertising partners receive standard technical information that any web request carries — your IP address, browser type and the page being viewed. They do not receive the content you enter into our tools.

Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent notice appears on your first visit. You can accept or reject personalised advertising, and change your choice at any time from the link in the site footer. We do not serve personalised ads before you have given consent.

Analytics and tag management

We use Google Tag Manager to load our measurement and advertising tags, and Google Analytics to understand which tools are used and which pages need work. These record standard page-view information — the page visited, approximate region, device and browser, and how you arrived.

This measures pages, not people. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors, and the content you enter into any tool is never collected or transmitted — analytics has no access to it, because it never leaves your browser in the first place.

Analytics and advertising storage are governed by the same consent choice described above. Until you accept, both are set to denied and no measurement cookie is written.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete on request. Data held by our advertising partners is governed by their own policies, linked above. To remove everything this site has placed on your device, clear your browser's site data for this domain.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page is updated. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
