QR Code Generator

Create QR codes for links, text, Wi-Fi and email. Adjust size, colours and error correction, then download PNG or SVG.

Higher levels survive more damage but hold less data.

About QR Code Generator

Turn a URL, block of text, Wi-Fi network or email address into a scannable QR code. Codes are generated in your browser and never expire or redirect through a tracking service, so what you encode is exactly what a scanner reads — permanently.

How to use it

  1. Choose what the code should contain.
  2. Fill in the details.
  3. Adjust size, colours and error correction level.
  4. Download as PNG for print or SVG for scaling.

Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?

Never. The data is encoded directly into the pattern. Unlike shortened or 'dynamic' QR codes, there is no server in the middle that could go away.

What error correction level should I use?

Level M is the sensible default. Use Q or H if the code will be printed small, placed on a curved surface, or partly covered by a logo — H tolerates about 30 percent damage.

Why will my code not scan?

Almost always contrast or size. Keep the foreground dark on a light background — never inverted — and leave the quiet zone around the edge clear.

In-depth reads that go beyond the calculator.
